Continue to Guard Your Heart And Respond With God
Breakthrough moments in our spiritual lives often attract spiritual opposition. Just when you're experiencing amazing victories, the enemy tries to snatch away your joy and peace. This powerful episode explores how daily surrender creates a protective barrier around these sacred moments of transformation.
Surrender isn't a one-time event but a lifestyle that requires consistent practice. When we surrender every area to God—our emotions, reactions, relationships, and hurts—we create space for divine revelation. God shows us what's truly happening beneath our surface-level reactions: Why did that comment trigger such a strong response? Why did that situation cause such deep hurt? These insights become doorways to profound inner healing.
What makes this approach transformative is its focus on personal responsibility. Rather than waiting for others to change or dwelling on how we've been wronged, we bring our own hearts to God for examination. This doesn't mean dismissing genuine hurt, but recognizing that our spiritual growth isn't dependent on others' actions. The process reveals areas of pride and entitlement we might not otherwise recognize—places where we feel entitled to certain treatment based on past experiences. God gently exposes these mindsets, creating pathways to freedom and allowing us to see ourselves through His loving eyes. This vision becomes the foundation for lasting change as we embrace our identity as beloved sons and daughters, gaining a new perspective on past hurts and present challenges.

Hey everyone, welcome back to Faith Bits with Allie. I'm your host, allie, with your daily faith bit. I've been in a season of just amazing moments and breakthroughs taking place and what I've noticed is that if you don't guard your heart, if you don't cover yourself and pray, the enemy will come in to try to snatch those moments. We have to be intentional about surrendering every area to God and allowing God to show us what's still in us. Why did we get upset so quickly or why did you feel hurt when the situation went that way? A lot of times I actually, when I go back to God and I've probably said this on a few episodes but he deals with me, and so if something happens to you between you and a person, I'm glad that he deals with me, because I can only be responsible for Alicia right, and I just ask him, you know, to make me be better and make sure that my posture is right and that I respond well. I try to respond in a loving way and then just keep it moving and I don't hold on to the next day. Now I'm not perfect because, trust me, those thoughts will come back and remind me of certain things that go down between me and another person. But as long as you choose to continually surrender, daily because this is a lifestyle, daily because this is a lifestyle, god will begin to shift your mindsets regarding situations. He'll allow you to realize areas where you're being in pride and areas where you feel entitled to certain treatment because of what you're used to. And so, when that happens, just ask him to help you to change your ways right.
Speaker 1:And so we have to be willing to see ourselves the way that God sees us and so being transformed. That's a daily thing. We shouldn't stay in the same place. So it is my prayer that we would allow God to reveal to us anything in us that has caused us to lack, whether it be in character, whether it be in emotions. And so let me pray for you, lord.
Speaker 1:I thank you for being able to just forgive people, but I thank you that we cast them to you, lord, in any situation that has hurt us, that we don't hold on to it, and we welcome angels of inner healing into our atmospheres now, from not only the fear of not being loved or received or accepted, from not only rejection, but from orphanhood. Lord, you love us and that's what matters. And so, god, I pray that we would fully embrace your love as a son or daughter and I pray that any past misunderstandings that has taken place in our lives that we would see it from your lens when we go back to you in prayer. That you would deal with us and help us to respond in a way that's pleasing to you. In Jesus's name, I pray. Amen, peace, love and blessings you, you, hey, everyone, welcome back to Faith Bits with Allie. I'm your host, allie, with your daily Faith Bit.
